Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any insulation work you book with A&R Los Banos Spray Foam Insulation, an insulation contractor in Los Banos, CA. When you use our home page or any other page on this site, or accept a quote from us, you agree to these terms.

If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or book work with us. If a signed quote or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.

The services we offer

We insulate homes and commercial buildings in Los Banos and the cities around it. Our work covers attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements with spray foam and blown-in insulation, along with air sealing, insulation removal and vapor barriers. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

The service pages on this site describe the work in general terms so you know what to expect. They aren't advice for your particular house, and the written quote for your job is what sets the actual scope.

Estimates and pricing

Quotes are free and done on site, because we need to see your attic, crawl space or walls before we can price the job honestly. There's no pressure to book, and a quote doesn't commit you to anything until you accept it.

A quote covers the work written on it and is based on what we can see and reach that day. If we open the job and find something hidden, like soaked or dirty old insulation, droppings, damaged framing or wiring problems, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on any change in writing before we do extra work.

Prices on a quote hold for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to re-quote.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

Once you accept a quote, we'll set a start date with you. Heat, material deliveries and access can move that date, and if anything changes we'll tell you as soon as we know.

Please clear a path to the attic hatch, crawl space or work area and keep kids and pets away from it while we work. Spray foam jobs have a re-entry time, which is how long you stay out before people and pets come back inside, and we'll tell you that time for your job before we start so you can plan.

If you need to cancel or move your date, call us at (209) 270-5807 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials for your job or after the crew is on the way, you may owe for materials and time already spent, as your quote states. Any cancellation rights California law gives you still apply.

Payment

Your quote or contract spells out what you pay and when, including any deposit. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished and we've walked the job with you.

If a payment is late, we may charge reasonable collection costs where California law allows it.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

We want you satisfied with the work, so if something isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one on your contract, and warranties on materials come from the people who make them, not from us.

We can't promise a set amount off your power bill or a set temperature in the hot upstairs room, because those depend on the whole house, how you run it and the weather. Apart from what's in writing on your contract, our work and this website are provided as is, to the extent California law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room or other costs that come from a job. We also aren't responsible for problems that were already in the house before we started, like old roof leaks or hidden moisture, unless our work caused them.

Our total liability for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits liability that the law doesn't let a business limit.

If we disagree about the work

If you have a problem, call us or reach us through our Contact page first, because most issues get settled fastest by talking it through on site. We'll reply within 1 business day and work with you in good faith.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to a California court with jurisdiction, including small claims court where the amount qualifies.

California law applies

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes apply to work quoted after the update, so a job you've already accepted stays under the terms in place when you accepted it.
